Amotekun captures octogenarian, others for vandalizing Ekiti govt property
The Ekiti State Amotekun Corps has marched a 80-year-elderly person distinguished essentially as Dad Michael, and one Oladosu, 60, for purportedly vandalizing the hardware of Ekiti State Water Enterprise at Okemesi Ekiti, in Ekiti West Neighborhood Government Region of the state.
The Corps Commandant, Brig. Gen. Joe Komolafe (retd.), while strutting the suspects, said Michael and Oladosu were captured by Amotekun agents at Okemesi Ekiti while purportedly vandalizing a few bits of gear having a place with the state water partnership.
He said the corps agents likewise captured three suspects over the supposed breaking and passage of a private house in the Tinuola area of Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
Komolafe said the suspects, 26-year-old Rufai, 30-year-old Ibrahim, and 30-year-old Yahaya, were caught with the backing of individuals living nearby.
He said, "Our agents in the early long stretches of Tuesday got a trouble call from an individual from the public that a few thought miscreants had broken into a private house nearby and vandalized a siphoning machine introduced in one of the houses nearby, following which they went right into it."
The corps commandant said the suspects would be given over to the police for additional examination and indictment.
He encouraged occupants of the state not to hold back in giving important data that would help the corps in its knowledge and reconnaissance tasks and also help with freeing the condition of crimes.
