The High Court of Nigeria, on Wednesday, kept report that the Main Equity from getting Nigeria (CJN), Equity Olukayode Ariwoola, had any phone discussion with anyone, including President Ahmed Bola Tinubu over the on-going procedures at the Official Political race Request Court (PREPEC), hearing grievances against the 2023 general political race.
As per the court, Equity Ariwoola neither talked with Tinubu nor the Chief General of the Division of State Administrations (DSS) with the end goal of compressing the PREPEC on the probable judgment to give in regard of the petitions.
The Overseer of Press and Data, High Court of Nigeria, Dr Festus Akande, made the explanation in a proclamation Wednesday in Abuja.
The assertion read to a limited extent: "Considering the gossip at present circling in the virtual entertainment space that the Main Equity of Nigeria, Hon. Equity Olukayode Ariwoola, had a phone discussion with His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Chief General of the Division of State Administrations (DSS) with the end goal of compressing the Official Political race Request Council on the reasonable judgment to give, it is basic to state obviously that there is no bit of substance in the story, as there was no such phone discussion between the CJN and anybody.
Nigerians have been following the procedures at the Official Political decision Request Court with commendable excitement. Thus, it is fitting we as a whole support the beat and follow it up to the end, rather than backsliding into the domain of hypotheses and talk hawking that won't help anybody.
"If this latest thing of deception and mudslinging is supported, our country may not gain the ideal headway. The courts are legally settled to serve the wellbeing of the majority; and we are at any point ready to do that overall quite well.
We wish to beg everybody to help out the legal executive to serve the country to its full limit, as nobody will at any point be inclined toward against the other in any debate.
"Law and order and matchless quality of the Nigerian Constitution will constantly be maintained and applied in each matter that precedes the courts; as the realities introduced and the remaining alive regulations should be applied in deciding the legitimacy or in any case of each matter.
General society ought to be have confidence that equity will be finished to all matters forthcoming in the different courts the nation over, regardless of who is involved."
